Baskets and Botany
June 20-22, 2025 - Friday afternoon to Sunday Evening
Boulder, CO
Join Kat for a hands-on immersion into the world of plants, weaving together the arts of basketry, plant identification, and herbal medicine.
In this class, you’ll learn to recognize and responsibly harvest wild plants for both medicine and craft, deepening your relationship with the natural world. We’ll cover the fundamentals of plant ID, the medicinal properties of key species, and essential medicine-making techniques. You’ll also explore two styles of basketry—coil basketry and splint basketry—learning how to gather, process, and work with natural materials to create functional and beautiful woven pieces.
